Excellent Morning With Breakfast in Bed

I woke up this morning with a terrible headache, my sheets knocked onto the floor, and my feet are literally numb because it is extremely cold. Luckily, my wife decided she was going to surprise me with breakfast in bed, a very nice treat considering that has never happened before. She prepared an incredible meal and went completely out of her way to ensure that my morning was going to be the best morning in a long time. She walked into the room with a huge tray and right away I noticed a sandwich stuffed with more bacon than an entire family could eat, it was the ultimate BLT.

After staring at the greatness of food for several seconds, she reached the side of our bed and told me to sit up so she could put the tray she brought onto my lap, I definitely was not going to argue with her this time. She placed it all into my lap and walked away, and I was left there with an extraordinary meal to scarf down. Not only had she brought me a very tasty sandwich, that had extra crispy bacon, just the way I like it, but there was much more. A sliced pear that was so juicy and sweet, cactus cooler in a glass filled with ice, and last but not least two cheddar cheese sticks which I absolutely love to devour in the morning.

So, even though my day began quite horrendously, it turned around faster than I could have imagined. She gave me breakfast in bed that was to die for, put her time and effort into making food for me, and topped the charts in my book for the most enjoyable eating experience in the morning. There was no stumbling to the coffeemaker and grabbing a bowl of cereal only to spill all over the floor on your way to the dining table because of exhaustion. In a simple explanation, it was a breakfast in bed to die for.

A Healthy Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It can give us all the nutrients we need for a healthy, happy, productive day. To do this we must put a balanced meal on our breakfast tray.

To begin with, we should start each day with a 8 ounce glass of cool water. This helps to flush out our system and satisfy our thirst. Our breakfast tray should also contain a glass of nutritious juice. Good choices include orange, pomegranate or cranberry juice.

It is important that we drink these juices at room temperature. This makes them easier to diegest. Next add a bowl of whole grain cereal. Oatmeal is an excellent choice. It combines nutrition with high fiber, so it helps to build us up and it also helps to clean us out.

Tea is the next addition to our breakfast tray. Mint teas are a good choice for most people. They aid digestion and provide important antioxidents. Many brands offer caffine-free teas for people with blood pressure issues. Add to this a boiled egg and a slice or two of whole grain bread and you will have a breakfast tray that is nutritious, satisfying and tastes good. Bon appitit!
